Welcome to Ferme Little Horn

At Little Horn, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality grass-fed lamb, Icelandic sheep's wool, and sheepskins. Our farm is located in the village of Brome, where we prioritize ecological and sustainable practices to ensure a healthy and happy environment for our animals. By supporting our farm, you are not only getting high quality products but also supporting a sustainable and ethical way of farming.

Meet the farmers

Nice to meet you!

We're Giselle and Val, a couple that were only introduced to farming in our early 20s and from that point on, we decided to dive head-first into providing food for our community and ecosystem services to our environment.

Giselle is from Toronto and Val is born in Kosovo and raised in Ireland. Val is a full-time butcher, allowing us to do all of the butchering for our farm ourselves, at a certified butcher shop.

We were lucky to work for amazing mentors who taught us how to steward the land. One of these mentors is Meagan Patch, of Ferme Patch, who we now work in collaboration with. We graze our sheep on her land, in symbiosis with her cattle, laying hens, and chickens.

We take pride in our Icelandic lamb and the products we create with their wool. We chose the Icelandic heritage breed because they perform well on our native pastures, are good mothers to their lambs, make delicious meat, and have unique, beautiful wool.

We believe in sustainable and ethical farming practices and prioritize the well-being of our animals. We are also passionate about using as much as we can from the animal, from meat to skins to wool to horns and even skincare from their tallow.

When you buy from us, you are not only getting high-quality products but also supporting a small, family-owned business that values ecological and sustainable practices.
